Ht’s Budding Entrepreneur

Assane Ndiaye is a senior at Huston-Tillotson University majoring in Business Administration. Assane started his AFREECAA brand ( www.afreecaa.com) clothing line while matriculating at HT. His AFREECAA brand is a ready-to-wear clothing line, offering quality and trendy African-inspired fashions.
For the opening of the Black Panther blockbuster movie, Assane flew to Los Angeles as the guest of Kutula African Boutique. Kutula African Boutique was the official wardrobe sponsor for the Black Panther movie. While visiting LA, Assane signed a contract for the Boutique to carry his AFREECAA clothing line

Assane brought eight outfits to show the Boutique’s clients. He arrived in LA on Saturday, and in less than two hours, Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson (Straight Outta Compton) bought one of the outfits. Mr. Jackson told the Boutique’s owner that he is impressed with Assane’s clothing line and that he wants Assane to design an outfit for him to wear in the new movie he is currently filming. On Sunday, another movie star, David Oyelowo placed an order with AFREECAA for something “unique” to wear on March 9th for the grand opening event of his new movie. By Sunday afternoon, all eight outfits that Assane had brought to LA for show had been sold.We want to congratulate Assane Ndiaye for being persistent and not giving up on his dreams.
